Laura Bismarck Emereole

Head of ADR & Training, FAMA ADR

 

Laura Bismarck Emereole is a results-driven legal practitioner and dispute resolution specialist, called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012. With a strong focus on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Peacebuilding, and Conflict Management, she combines her legal expertise with practical mediation and facilitation skills to deliver innovative, peaceful solutions to complex disputes.

Academic Background

Laura holds a Master’s Degree in Conflict Management and Peace Studies (MCMPS) from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna. Her academic foundation supports her active engagement in building capacity and promoting ADR at institutional and community levels.

​

Professional Roles

At FAMA ADR, Laura serves as the Head of ADR & Training, overseeing mediation strategy, training design, and multi-sector dispute resolution engagements. She also leads dispute resolution initiatives as the Lead Mediator at FANSA Mediation Centre.

In addition to her primary roles, she holds several leadership and faculty positions in key legal and ADR institutions:

  • Secretary, Small Claims Court Committee, Kaduna State

  • Vice Chairman, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), Kaduna Branch

  • Faculty Member, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC)

  • Faculty Member, Mediation Training Institute (MTI)

  • Secretary, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Kaduna Branch

  • Publicity Secretary, Christian Lawyers Fellowship of Nigeria (CLASFON)
